Education
It may be a cliché but preventing work related illnesses and injuries in the first place is much cheaper than trying to cure them. Educate your staff on how to reduce aches and pains, increase their awareness of posture and teach them how to be comfortable at work.
Ergonomics
This word is commonly used, but few know what it really means. It isn't about the most expensive chair or an unusually shaped mouse, it's about the interaction between the worker and their job. Physiocomfort aims to enhance this interaction through customised solutions in order to reduce aches and pains at work.
Physiotherapy
Early intervention will prevent absence from work or encourage an early return to work. Physiotherapists are experts in musculoskeletal conditions. They can tell you why you have the pain in the first place, how to reduce it and how to prevent it in the future.
Sickness Absence
Long term sickness or repeated short term absence due to musculoskeletal conditions can be difficult for employers or even occupational health nurses to manage, as they do not have specific knowledge in this area.
When should they come back to work? Will being at work cause more damage? Will they go off sick again?
Saving Money
These costs are not just limited to sick pay and compensation paying temporary cover, recruitment costs, low productivity, low morale among colleagues and loss of reputation can all add up to a huge financial burden. Good ergonomics and early intervention could save you money!
We are here to help both employer and employee to find cost effective solutions to reduce aches and pains amongst staff, and to help prevent them in the future.
